The Account Manager is responsible for profitable growth of accounts in an assigned geographic area, as well as profitable growth and management of regional accounts which extend beyond their geographic areas.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Maintain and profitably grow assigned accounts.

·         Call on key end users with defined frequency, in order to influence sale of equipment

·         Inform and demonstrate new products

·         Attend key channel partners meetings in order to influence sale of equipment

·         Demonstrate product features and benefits as necessary

·         Implement national sales and marketing programs

·         Develop and implement local and regionally tailored sales and marketing programs

·         Procure information on issues that may affect sales growth and make recommendations to Regional management.

·         Make recommendations on adding/deleting/upgrading distribution.

·         Recommend product improvements

·         Research and provide information on competitors' activities

·         Recommend solutions to problems with respect to product, applications and distribution issues

·         Develop and submit time and territory plan that supports the marketing plan as required by Regional Manager

·         Actively participate in the trade associations

·         Through demonstrations, develop channel personnel's skills in making the best equipment recommendations to end users

·         Maintain demo equipment and expense accounts within defined limits

 

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in business or technical field or equivalent.

·         3 to 5 years’ experience in sales,

·         Must have a strong mechanical aptitude

·         Experience in selling in decorating, construction hand tools or power tools contractor marketplace is a plus

·         Ability to effectively manage the contractor equipment distribution channel.

·         Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
